World Meeting Center of Jeunesses Musicales International

Weikersheim Castle in 2005 has been appointed „World Meeting Center“ of Jeunesses Musicales International. In international renowned projects young talents experience a valuable stepping stone to the professional scene.

Weikersheim is an enchanting place. That’s why Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland has been around here since more than half a century and has made the place its permanent seat. The castle is bristling with the life, that 8.500 young musicians bring in every year, staying for orchestral and choral sessions or instrumental classes and courses. JMD has made Weikersheim Musikakademie the most booming music rehearsal venue for young musicians in Germany.

In the midst of the rural surroundings the town is presided by its Renaissance castle. The „Hohenlohe Versailles“ is overlooking a unique and beautiful Baroque park.

mu:v – Musik verbindet! – Connected by music!

JMD has started a youth initiative heading at the vision of developping into an organisation that provides a platform, training and support for young musicians to realise their own ideas and projects in the field of music, spreading the ideals of Jeunesses Musicales in ever rejuvenating energy – to develop through music across all boundaries.
