JMI Chamber Music Campus
Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland’s International Chamber Music Campus is one of the world’s most renowned masterclasses of its kind. For 11 days, young ensembles work with international artists, such as members of leading string quartets of the young generation. Members of Artemis Quartet, Vogler Quartet and Miró Quartet – just to name a few – have all been in Weikersheim.
The artistic director is Heime Müller, Artemis Quartet’s former violinist and current tutor of master classes at the Lübeck Academy of Music and Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid.

Make Your Ensemble’s Career
To profile young ensembles in their artistic achievements has been our endeavour since 1956. Jeunesses Musicales International’s challenging Chamber Music Campus has ever since been driven by its core values: quality, authenticity, community.
World class masters guarantee a chamber music experience at the most advanced level. They offer young musicians an interaction, far beyond conventional master classes, with experienced seniors, who assist in modelling the ensemble’s individual fingerprint.
Chamber music refined by fruitful reflections, changing points of view and the expansion of one’s horizon will be the result of daily lessons. Interaction with young colleagues from different schools and nations and an intense rehearsal work will make you surpass your own boundaries.
Appearance and promotion will be facilitated by a series of concerts and a broadcast recording as well as by talent scouting by music festival promoters. An internal prize donated by the Friends of Jeunesses Musicales will be awarded to “the most promising newcomer”. Scholarships can be granted thanks to the generous public and private donors.
The inspiring setting of Weikersheim – the picturesque medieval little town, its stately renaissance castle, and the scenic baroque park amidst the beauty of the surrounding landscape – has always animated fertile music discoveries.
